Crane operator Chuck Last updated by Timy: 23/12/2016
To work as a crane operator, do I need to do a certified course? Are there different types? I'd imagine that it's a simple matter but I hear comments that make me think it's not.

Not at all, it's not a simple matter. There are many types each depending on the type of machinery/truck used. You have bridge cranes, tower cranes, vehicle loading cranes, to mention some and each has their own specific license.

Thanks T. And where do you do the training I wouldn't know where to start.

There're plenty of places where you can do your training. With a simple search you should be able to find some. Then it's up to you, your finances and the feeling that each of them gives you to choose the one. Often it's handy to look for online opinions. Best
