The Department of General and Internal Medicine sits within the Medical and Cancer Services stream which also includes cardiology and cardio-thoracic surgery, respiratory medicine, neurology/stroke, renal medicine, gastroenterology, oncology, haematology, endocrinology, nephrology, rheumatology, and an ambulatory care centre.
The Department of General and Internal Medicine is the largest inpatient medical unit at the RHH. We have on average 100-120 inpatients and admit approximately 15 to 20 per day across 5 General Medical teams including a Rapid Assessment Medical Unit (RAMU). […]
