Monash BreastScreen is part of the National Breast Cancer Screening Program, BreastScreen Australia. The program is jointly funded by both state and federal governments and aims to screen 70% of women aged 50-74 years. There are over 250,000 eligible women (i.e. Women aged 40+ are eligible; women 50-74 specifically targeted) in the Monash BreastScreen catchment of South East Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula.
