UK security technician working in Australia
Hello,
I am a 29 yr old qualified security engineer working for Chubb security in London and am moving to Australia on a 1 year working holiday visa in October. I have been researching jobs but it looks like you need a security license to work in this industry which can only be obtained if you are a permanent resident. Has any one on here made the move over and managed to work in security? Any advice or contacts would be greatly appreciated. ThanksChris 30/07/2017Add comment -
Job title
Hi
As a installation technician I click on jobs titled as such, when the job description page opens it states that your client is seeking an installations technician AND service technician AND commissioning technician, and that's disappointing for technicians who click on a job title that matches their skills only to find out that the job is much broader than the job title
Since the above required skills are separate departments, you need to specify in the job title which one your client is after, one or two of them, or all the above.

Yep, I have come across that too, though not that often. I take it they're trying to attract as many candidates as possible. I understand it, but I think it's unfair, and also, it's soo frustrating for us candidates...!20/12/2016
